As a newborn photographer I can easily say there is nothing more special than having your newborn photos taken at home. But WHY?

Firstly, no two homes are the same, they are filled with your own memories and belongings, so your newborn photos will be completely personal to you. It's the home you brought your new baby into, where you started the new chapter of your lives and welcomed them into your family. Why not document the whole story?

You might be worried about your home being too small, or not magazine worthy? It doesn't matter, It's your home, your memories, all you need is a small amount of space with a good amount of natural light and you'll still get plenty of beautiful photos.

Siblings will be more comfortable! If you have older children, they will be more comfortable in their own environment, they have the option to play between moments when they won't need to be in the pictures. They also love to show off all their toys! This gives them a chance to relax and come out of their shell and show their true little personalities in your photos.

There's no need to travel, and this makes the whole experience more relaxing for you. I completely understand what it's like to leave the house with a new baby, and if you have other children, getting everyone ready, packed and out the door on time can often take all morning! You won't need to stress about what to pack, whether everyone is fed on time or the toddlers are tired and grumpy and you won't feel frazzled when you session starts!
